Pineapple, which is the most delicious yellow coloured fruit, is very common and is said to be the third important tropical fruit in the world production. The plant, which is grown as a shrub, is being cultivated commercially in acres of land at Kerala. Pineapple fruit contains good quantity of water and it is very rich in Vitamins and Minerals. It is widely consumed as it is good in digestion also.

In Kerala, we can see in beaches, walkways and even in malls the pineapple mixed with either salt or chilly powder is being sold as snack dishes. In cooking also number of dishes such as Jams, Squashes, puddings, ice creams, yogurts, pastries etc. can be made with Pineapple fruit.
