Tulasi leaves are used for preparing “Chukku Kapi” for the treatment of fever in most of the Kerala village homes during ancient times.
Tulasi is most commonly used in Hindu worships. According to Hindu beliefs, tulasi represents purity. In ancient Hindu homes , we can see a “tulasi thara ” in frontyard of the home which is believed that it brings some good positive vibes to the home. This tulasi plant is watered daily, lights up diya during evening and worship them. The position of placing the “Tulasi thara” is done according to the “Vastu Shastra”. The wrong direction of planting can bring negative results too.
